Now there is "very strong evidence" that alcohol can cause direct DNA damage

Now there is "very strong evidence" that alcohol can cause direct DNA damage. "There is an extra body of evidence linking alcohol use at risk of cancer - and now scientists believe that they got a broad explanation.
In a new mouse study, the team has shown that DNA damage the blood circulating stem cells.

The culprit is a chemical compound known as acetidoid, a derivative of the Alcohol metabolism process.

When acetaldehyde does not break further - for example, when someone uses alcohol, there is a fight to metabolize the body - it is made in cells.

Previous studies have shown that acetaldehyde can damage DNA, but these tests are organized in a disorder cell, not in the living body.

Using a living organism, scientists can see a body reaction - so there was a critical progress in understanding what was happening in this mouse study.
They represent genetic damage using alcohol, ethanol, then chromosomal analysis and DNA sequence with the mouse. They can be damaged by acetaldehyde and it can permanently change into DNA due to which it can cause double-stroke separation.
